“Worrying Doesn’t Help Anything” draws attention to the relationship between anxiety and preparedness. By hand-stitching words into the utilitarian object, the artist undermines the function of the tarp by puncturing the membrane full of thousands of holes. The piece is an exploration of the essential helplessness of the human subject in the face of “Nature”.
